Learn More about our Unoaked Chard

The birthplace of the Washington wine industry, Yakima Valley is home to more than 90 wineries over 17,000 acres. Its landscape is the result of ancient volcanoes and catastrophic floods that swept through the region in the last Ice Age 12,000 years ago, depositing material from the surrounding landscapes on top of the basalt bedrock that is the foundation of much of Eastern Washington.

The region’s unique terroir, which includes a combination of warm days, cool nights, and volcanic soils, helps to produce wines with a distinct character and complexity. Free-draining and low in organic matter, the soils stress the vines, contributing to the concentration and tannin structure that Yakima Valley wines are known for.

Unoaked Chardonnays are particularly popular in this region, as it allows the true essence of the Chardonnay grape to shine through. Our Chardonnay is perfect for pairing with lighter fare such as seafood, salads, and mild cheeses. Enjoy it chilled for the ultimate refreshment.
