84% lower carbon footprint
RGBW has an 84% lower carbon footprint vs. bottles. This is because 1 box and the bag inside replaces 4 bottles, 4 corks, 8 labels, 4 foils, and all of the packaging materials needed to protect glass, which is often styrofoam. Here are some facts ...
50% cheaper to transport
Our wines also weigh half as much as bottles and take up half the space, meaning fuel needed for transportation is much lower.
84% Lower Carbon Print
RGBW has an 84% lower carbon footprint vs. bottles. This is because 1 box and the bag inside replaces 4 bottles, 4 corks, 8 labels, 4 foils, and all of the packaging materials needed to protect glass, which is often styrofoam.
Made in USA
2/3 of wine bottles used in the US are produced in China. Our (RGBW) packaging is made within the state of California where our winery is located.
Better recyclability
The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) in the US says that only 31% of glass bottles are recycled, vs. >70% of cardboard boxes. There are many municipalities that no longer even accept glass because it's more expensive to recycle it than it is to produce more of it.
Making glass is more expensive
Producing glass requires temperatures of up to 2700 degrees fahrenheit.
Only 16% of MRF (materials recycling facility) recycle glass in the United S tates.
51% more sustainable
The California Sustainable Winemaking Alliance did a study that shows 51% of a wine's carbon output comes from glass bottle and cork packaging and fossil fuels needed for the transportation of these heavy materials.
YOU DON'T NEED TO SPEND A FORTUNE FOR DELICIOUS WINE
For the 97% of wine drank within a year, bottles are unnecessary and a waste of money. Our packaging costs are 1/8 that of bottled wine, so you're paying for high-quality wine, not glass and corks.
